Digital Art: Adobe Photoshop
|
The use of software such as Adobe Photoshop can expand student limits in the classroom. Digital artwork opens up many possibilities to various types of learners and creates opportunities for students with different sets of skills. With the ability to save one's progress throughout the creative process, this provides ample safety net for students to explore and experiment.
"Have even more fun with your photos! Create photo remixes and mashups, make custom Facebook covers your friends will love, get perfect photo compositions with awesome crop suggestions, and so much more." (Adobe, 2015) |
Adobe Photoshop and other software that allows students to manipulate their works of art opens many directions students can take with their art. It allows for experimentation, and alteration of their own photography or other works of art. It allows them creative license and provides many opportunities that simple imitation doesn't. Have your students manipulate a famous piece of art and create their own. Or perhaps have your students manipulate magazine photos, their own photos, and more to create an interesting collage. With the benefits of student involvement with technological processes, Photoshop can only contribute to the developing creative process of students.
